Radio Button Groups

Use radio buttons to pick one and keep data clean.

Updated over 2 months ago

Radio buttons are “one-choice-only” fields in SignNow. Instead of letting someone tick multiple boxes, you create a radio group—a set of options where the signer must select exactly one. This is perfect for Yes/No questions, pricing tiers, delivery methods, or any mutually exclusive choice. The result: fewer mistakes, fewer follow-ups, and consistent data you can trust.

In this guide, you’ll learn when to use radio buttons vs. checkboxes, how to add a radio group to a document or template, label and order your options, make the selection required, and preview the signer experience so submissions are accurate the first time.

Radio Buttons Setup

1. From the left fields panel, select Radio Buttons and click on your form to place them. Two buttons are added by default. You can add more using the + icon or the right-side settings panel. To reposition a radio button, click and drag it to where you need it.

2. Use the right-side settings panel to configure the Radio Group Settings: add more buttons/choices, rename them, and prefill certain options for the signer with the ability for the signer to edit it during the signing session.

📝 Radio button group cannot be split across multiple pages.
