Control Expiration Dates and Reminders on Expired Documents

Change expiration dates and reminders, even after sending.

Updated over 2 months ago

Sometimes, signers miss deadlines or need more time to review a document. With SignNow, you can easily adjust the expiration date or reminder settings for documents that have already been sent — or even for those that have expired. This flexibility helps you maintain control over your signing timelines without having to resend or recreate documents. Whether you’re managing consecutive signing (one signer after another) or simultaneous signing (all signers at once), updating expiration and reminder settings ensures your agreements stay active and accessible until every required signature is complete.

You can view all expired documents by selecting the Expired status from the filter options above your document list.

To change the expiration date, click the recipient’s email address under the specific document’s name and status, then select Change Expiration. You can update the expiration date for any document — whether the invite has already expired or is still active.
