PowerForms let you authorize others to assign signers to your form, adding flexibility to your workflow. This is especially useful in scenarios where the sender doesn’t always know who the final signers will be. For example:
HR teams – A recruiter can share a hiring form with a manager, who then assigns the candidate and internal approvers as signers.
Healthcare – An admin can distribute patient intake forms, letting staff assign each form to the correct patient.
Education – A school office can share enrollment forms, allowing teachers or coordinators to set parents/guardians as signers.
Legal/Compliance – A compliance officer can hand off responsibility to a department head, who assigns employees to complete policy acknowledgments.
This delegation saves time, keeps workflows moving, and reduces back-and-forth by letting the right person define who needs to sign.
📝 If the document or template contains more than one unassigned signing role (emails not prefilled), the generated link will only work as a PowerForm. Guest invite links cannot handle multiple dynamic recipients—all signer emails must be specified.
Prepare your form
1. Add fillable fields to your document and assign role/-s to them. At least one signing role must be unassigned (meaning that the email field must remain empty in editing mode). This is because you will give the receiver of the link the opportunity to prefill all roles with emails at a later time.

2. When you are done editing the form and preparing it for the PowerForm invite, hit the Save and Close button at the top right side of the editing mode.
Create Invite Link
1. In the form's location folder, hit the Create Invite Link button to generate a one-time (for documents) or a reusable (for templates) invite link to send over to the recipient of the PowerForm.
2. Tick the Allow recipient to send an invite option to enable PowerForm. You will see that the link now ends with the ?form=true param, which is an indication that the PowerForm invite is now enabled for this specific link.
3. Click Copy Link to copy the invite link and hit Done button to close off the pop-up.
Share your link
Share the link with the first intermediary responsible for distributing the form. When they open it, they’ll be prompted to add signer emails and send the invite.
📝 Only the first recipient can assign signers—distribution cannot be split among multiple people.
Once the distributor assigns the signers and sends the invite, each signer in the specified order will receive an email request to complete the form. After all recipients have signed, you’ll receive the finalized, executed copy of the document.
