Guide Me helps make the signing process in SignNow faster and easier when you receive a document to sign. Once enabled, it automatically walks you through all required fields in the document, so you don’t have to search for what needs to be completed.
📝 Guide Me follows a fixed logical order: fields are presented from left to right and from top to bottom on each page. This sequence is automatically determined by the fields' layout and cannot be changed.
Required fields must be completed before moving forward, while optional fields can be skipped if they’re not applicable. This ensures nothing essential is missed, while still giving you flexibility where allowed.
Guide Me Settings Configuration
Open the received document. The pop-up window will show you the number of required and optional fields. Click on the Start Filling or Start button or the first field on the document to start the signing process.
Fill in the fields indicated by the Next arrow; alternatively, you can hit the Tab button on your laptop to move to the next field in the sequence.
By default, the orange Guide Me button will only lead you through the required fields set by the document owner. If you want it to lead you through every field, click on the More Actions button at the top right side and remove the tick from the Go Through Required Fields option.
If you have missed some fields, click on the orange Next arrow again. Doing so will highlight the fields that you still need to fill out.
Once finished, click Done in the top right corner to complete the document.
