This guide walks through how to connect SignNow in both platforms.

What you can do with SignNow after setup

After setup, the experience is similar in both ChatGPT and Claude.

Once SignNow is connected, you can use natural language to streamline common signing workflows directly in the conversation. For example, you can ask the assistant to list your templates, prepare a document from a template, prefill fields such as dates or names, and get a document ready to send.

A typical workflow might look like this: ask the assistant to find a template, prefill a field like today’s date, generate the document from that template, and then confirm whether you want to send it to a recipient.

Troubleshooting

If you do not see the option to create a custom app in ChatGPT, check that Apps and Developer mode are available for your account.

If you do not see the SignNow connector in Claude, confirm that connector access is enabled in your environment.

If authentication fails in either platform, verify that:

  • your SignNow credentials are correct

  • the authorization window is allowed to open in your browser

  • you completed the access approval step

If the connection succeeds but actions are limited, review the permissions granted during authorization.
