Self-Troubleshooting Before Contacting Support
If you run into issues while signing documents in SignNow, try these checks first. Providing this information to SignNow support will also help us resolve your issue faster.
For Browser Users
Confirm which browser you are using (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
Check the browser version (is it up to date?).
Clear cache/cookies and try again.
Try opening the document in Incognito/Private mode.
Note whether extensions or ad-blockers are enabled (these can sometimes interfere).
Take a screenshot of any error message you see.
For Mobile App Users
Confirm your OS (iOS/Android) and version.
Confirm the SignNow app version (is it the latest from the App Store/Google Play?).
Restart the app or device and retry.
Check your internet connection (Wi-Fi vs. mobile data).

Expected Behavior
Some elements of the signing session are configured by the document sender and cannot be changed by SignNow support or the recipient. These include:
Required fields (if a field is mandatory, only the sender can adjust this).
Session timeouts or activity length.
Password-protected documents.
Multi-factor authentication steps (SMS, phone, etc.).
If you believe a field shouldn’t be required, or if you’re having trouble with authentication or document access, it’s best to check with the document originator first before reaching out to SignNow support.
