What's changed
SignNow has launched a fully redesigned SharePoint integration, built on its Native Integration framework. The new app is available now on the Microsoft AppSource marketplace.
The legacy app has entered end-of-life and will stop working on 31 December 2026.
Key improvements
The new app includes significant upgrades over the legacy version:
Admins can configure SignNow templates directly within SharePoint
Admins can set up field mappings for templates, so senders don't need to do it manually each time
Custom actions and document flows can be created to streamline the sending experience
Self Sign is supported — users can sign documents without leaving SharePoint
Document groups and document group templates are fully supported
Default actions (e.g. sending files from SharePoint folders) work the same as before
Signature statuses can be tracked from within SharePoint
Completed documents can be stored in both SharePoint and SignNow, with or without document history

Known limitations
The legacy app allowed users to choose a custom folder for completed document storage (in both SignNow and SharePoint). The new app currently stores completed documents in default folders only.
Custom folder selection in SignNow: coming in early July 2026
Custom folder selection in SharePoint: backlogged — no confirmed timeline yet
If a user raises this, acknowledge it directly and share the July timeline for the SignNow-side fix.
How to upgrade
No migration is needed. The legacy app had no configurable settings — it was a set of default buttons, and the new app preserves these. A SharePoint Admin installs the new app from the marketplace, and that's it.
Documents already in progress are stored in SignNow and are not affected. Compatibility (SharePoint versions, Microsoft 365 tiers, browsers) is unchanged.
Subscription requirement
SharePoint is a premium integration that requires a paid add-on to the SignNow subscription. This add-on is available through Sales only — it cannot be purchased self-serve.
If a user needs to purchase the add-on, use the standard process for routing a self-serve lead to the Sales team.
Self-serve users on the legacy app
Some users on self-serve plans were able to use the legacy app without a subscription check — the new app includes this check. These users have been proactively notified.
If one of these users contacts support:
Confirm they have until 31 December 2026 to sort out their subscription — that's six months
Let them know the add-on is available through Sales and route them using the standard lead process
Keep the tone helpful and matter-of-fact; avoid implying fault or urgency beyond what's accurate
Legacy app — support status
As of the new app launch, the legacy app will no longer be supported:
No bug fixes
No new features
Users may continue using it until 31 December 2026, after which it will be discontinued
