With SignNow, you can easily customize the invite emails your recipients receive when you send documents for signing. Whether you’re using the web app or the mobile app, adding a personal touch to your messages helps provide clear instructions, reinforce trust, and create a smoother signing experience.
Web
Invite to Sign
Choose a document or template you’d like to send for signing in its destination folder and click the Invite to Sign > Single Invite.
On the Invite Page, click the Customize Message button next to a recipient to customize the message and subject of the email invite. To apply the same customized text to all recipients on the invite, hit the Apply This Invite Email to All Recipients button.
Edit Signer Emails
For templates, you can preset a template/-s message/-s in advance. To do this, select Edit Signer Emails from the template menu.
On the new page, customize the subject and message for each signing role and step, and then click Save Signer Email Settings once ready.
📝 At this time, the Edit Signer Emails option is available on individual templates only, not the document group templates. Additionally, note that if any signing roles on the template are removed or edited, the signer emails set on this template will be reset and must be added afresh.
Bulk Invite
Whether you are sending an individual invite or a bulk invite, you will always have an option to preset a custom email subject and message for your recipients. In case of Bulk Invite, however, the message you preset will apply to all recipients of the invite without an individual customization option.

The default subject and message for all new invites and template invites can be set up under the account settings as shown below.

Mobile
Invite to Sign
1. Choose a document or template you wish to send for signing by tapping on it. In the appearing pop-up, tap the Invite to Sign option.
2. Tap the gear icon next to the recipient you want to customize the subject and message for.
3. Tap on Subject and/or Message to proceed with the customization and hit the Save button at the bottom when done.
Edit Signer Emails
For templates, you can preset a template/-s message/-s in advance. To do this, select Edit Signer Emails from the template menu.
In the new pop-up, preset signer emails as you'd like and hit the checkmark icon at the top right side of the screen.
