The Me (Fill Out Now) section lets you complete and sign documents yourself—no need to invite other signers. This is perfect for filling out personal forms, signing internal documents, stamping approvals, or preparing contracts before sharing them with others. It’s a fast, secure way to handle paperwork directly within SignNow.
What is the Difference between Fillable and Fill Out Now Fields?
In SignNow, fillable fields and Fill Out Now fields serve different purposes:
Fillable fields: These are assigned to other signers or recipients. You add them to a document so that invitees can enter their information, signatures, or initials during the signing process.
Fill Out Now fields: These are meant for you, the sender, to complete before sending the document. You can use them to add your own signature, text, initials, or stamps without inviting yourself as a signer.
Example:
A contract might have fillable fields for a client to sign and add their details.
The same contract could have Fill Out Now fields for you to sign or prefill company details before sending it out.
How to Use Fill Out Now Fields?
1. In the editing mode, click Me (Fill out Now) on the left-side panel to open up the fields that you can fill out on your own. Here, you can add different elements to your document: signature, initials, stamp, today's date, text, check, full name and email.
📝 My Full Name and My Email fields are dynamic and will be prefilled based on your account information and the email associated with your SignNow account.
2. Select a field from the side panel and click on the document where you want to place it. You can then drag to move it or adjust the font size, text color, alignment, and font style using the formatting bar at the top.
📝 Fill Out Now fields can only be used before the document is signed. Once a document reaches “Signed” status, no further edits or adjustments can be made.
If you need to sign after another signer, add yourself as a signer using fillable fields and adjust the signing order on the Invite page instead.
