Kiosk Mode in SignNow allows you to collect signatures on the same form from multiple people one after another using a single device, such as an iPad or Android tablet. This feature is especially useful in in-person scenarios where many individuals need to complete the same form, without having to send out separate invites.
For example:
Healthcare: Patients in a clinic can each fill out and sign an intake form on the receptionist’s tablet.
Education: Parents at a school event can sign permission slips for their children without the school needing to email each parent individually.
HR/Onboarding: New hires can complete employment forms during orientation directly on-site.
Events/Surveys: Attendees can quickly complete consent forms, feedback surveys, or registrations one after another.
Once one signer finishes, the form automatically resets and generates a new copy for the next signer, ensuring an efficient, paperless process.
{*tip: You can use Kiosk mode on tablets or phones regardless of whether you have a SignNow app for iOS or Android.*}
How to enter Kiosk Mode
1. In the top left corner, tap on the three lines to open the sidebar menu, then select Kiosk Mode.
2. In the pop-up, tap Start to start the Kiosk Mode feature.
3. Next, tap on the template name to select it from the list.
Alternatively, you can go to the Templates folder, tap on the template you need, and select Kiosk from the menu.
4. Create a passcode that you will use to exit the Kiosk Mode, enter it using your keyboard, then tap Confirm Passcode. Re-enter the passcode and confirm it again.
5. In Kiosk Mode settings, you can customize the welcome and completion titles and messages, and choose whether to prompt signers to save a copy of the document. This creates a smoother, branded experience and ensures signers leave with the information they need.
Advanced settings
When you tap Show Advanced Settings in Kiosk Mode, you unlock additional options that help automate and organize your signing workflow:
Automatically move docs to folder
Completed documents can be routed directly into a specific folder. This keeps your workspace tidy and ensures related forms (e.g., HR files, patient records, event waivers) are stored together without extra manual steps.Archive Folder
Choose an archive folder where completed forms will be stored after signing. Archiving prevents clutter in your active workspace while keeping all documents securely accessible for future reference.Automatically email completed docs
Ensure signers (or admins) instantly receive a copy of the signed document once completed. This saves time and reassures participants by giving them immediate proof of submission.Email Address
Specify an address where completed forms are always sent. For example, HR can receive all onboarding packets, or a legal inbox can collect all signed waivers automatically.Generate unique names for new document copies
Each signed copy can be automatically renamed with unique identifiers (e.g., signer’s name, timestamp). This makes it easier to differentiate between multiple signed forms and avoids confusion in workflows where dozens of identical forms are completed.
When you are done, tap on Begin Kiosk Mode.
Kiosk Mode signing session
Hand your mobile device to the first signer to complete the document in Kiosk Mode. The signer fills out all required fields and, once finished, taps Done in the top right corner. At that point, their signed copy is saved, and the form automatically resets to a blank version, ready for the next signer. This cycle repeats for each participant, making Kiosk Mode ideal for collecting multiple identical submissions in a fast, seamless flow—such as patient intake forms, event registrations, or team member onboarding.
To save the document and restart the signing session, tap Done. After that, a new document for the next signer will appear. You can repeat this process as long as you need to collect in-person signatures.
To finish with Kiosk Mode, tap on the Exit Kiosk Mode option. You can also quickly clear the form by tapping Erase & Restart.
Unless another destination folder is specified, all signed copies will end up in the Documents folder by default.
