The SignNow mobile app (iOS/Android) makes it easy to export completed documents in the way that works best for you. Instead of being limited to just viewing files in the app, you can:
Download a copy directly to your device for offline access.
Email a document instantly to yourself or others.
Share files securely with colleagues or clients.
Export to Cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive for easy storage and team collaboration.
Print a hard copy right from your phone or tablet.
These options give you flexibility whether you’re archiving documents, distributing them to others, or keeping backups. Exporting from mobile ensures your documents are accessible wherever you work—without needing a desktop.
Download
What it does: Saves a copy of your document directly to your phone or tablet's local storage, making it accessible offline. This is useful if you want to review documents on a flight, in areas without internet, or keep a personal backup.
Android vs. iOS:
On Android, downloaded files usually appear in your Downloads folder and can be managed through your file manager.
On iOS, downloads are saved in the Files app, where they can be organized into iCloud Drive or local storage folders.
{*tip: If your device is low on storage, the download may fail without clear messaging. For iOS, if local storage is nearly full, you can switch SignNow to save documents in iCloud instead*}
Email a Copy
Instantly send the completed document as an email attachment to yourself, team members, or clients.
Helpful for quickly forwarding signed contracts, agreements, or consent forms without needing cloud storage.
📝 Ensure the email app on your device is properly configured (e.g., Mail on iOS or Gmail on Android). If no email account is connected, the option to email a document won't work.
Share
Use the Share option to send a document link directly through messaging apps, collaboration tools, or other secure channels on your device.
This avoids bulky attachments and allows recipients to access the document directly with the right permissions.
📝 When sharing via apps like WhatsApp, Slack, or Teams, file size or format restrictions might prevent delivery. If the recipient doesn’t have the necessary permissions (e.g., for restricted links), they may not be able to open the file.
Export to Cloud
Connect SignNow to popular cloud storage providers like Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, or OneDrive and export documents directly there.
This keeps documents centralized, accessible to your team, and backed up safely. Great for businesses that rely on collaboration.
📝 On iOS, exporting to iCloud may not appear immediately if your internet connection is weak—sometimes files will sync later than expected.
Send your document directly to any printer connected to your mobile device (via AirPrint on iOS or a compatible print service on Android).
Perfect when you need a physical copy of a signed agreement immediately—whether for compliance, filing, or client requests.
📝 On iOS, printing requires AirPrint-compatible printers on the same Wi-Fi network. If your printer doesn’t support AirPrint, you won’t see it listed. On Android, you may need to install a print service plugin (e.g., HP, Canon, Epson). If the plugin isn’t installed, no printers will show up.
If an export fails, try testing the document with an alternative option (e.g., exporting to the cloud if email fails) or check device/app permissions first—this resolves most cases without needing support.
