Ask AI is an interactive assistant built directly into SignNow. It helps you understand how the product works, find features faster, and get step-by-step guidance without leaving the page you are on.
📝 Ask AI is available to users in selected A/B test groups across all plans.
Note that Ask AI and Intercom Chatbot are not the same thing and are not working simultaneously.

Ask AI combines several AI capabilities designed specifically for support and product education:
A. AI Help & Guidance
Explains how features work and provides step-by-step instructions.
B. Contextual AI Suggestions
When you open the assistant, it shows a list of page-specific suggested questions.

How Do I Know When AI Is Part of My SignNow Experience?
You will notice AI involvement in the following ways:
1. The “Ask AI” Button in the Header
A new icon appears in the main SignNow header.
On smaller screens, the search bar may collapse to make room for it.
2. The AI Chat Widget
A draggable, resizable window appears when you open it.
It stays open as you navigate through your account (except in the Editor view-only mode and API pages).
Does SignNow use my data for AI model training and improvement?
No. We never use your data to train or improve AI models.
To provide you with relevant support, Ask AI only accesses the question you type into the Ask AI chat.
While we utilize certain account metadata - such as current user subscription, profile information, user workspaces, and teams - this is used exclusively for contextual answers for your specific session. Your private data is never shared with third parties for training their models.
What is the “Disable SignNow AI” setting?
You can disable Ask AI at:
Account level (click on Account Settings > toggle the Disable SignNow AI option)
Workspace level (click on Workspace Settings > toggle the Disable SignNow AI option. Workspace settings take priority; if a workspace admin disables Ask AI, it cannot be enabled individually)
Which AI models does SignNow use for AI features?
SignNow uses leading third-party AI models (such as OpenAI models) together with our own security and context layer. These models power Ask AI but never access or train on your documents. For a complete list of service providers we use to deliver our services, please refer to our Subprocessor List.
How is customer data protected when SignNow uses third-party AI models?
We value your privacy. Only the text you type into Ask AI is shared with the model. Your documents are never accessed or shared with AI models. Third-party models do not train on your data, and all communication is fully encrypted.
