Document Group Templates let you bundle multiple templates into one reusable package that can be sent for signing again and again. This feature is especially useful when you regularly send the same set of forms—like onboarding packets, compliance checklists, or multi-part agreements—saving you time, ensuring consistency, and reducing errors across workflows.

Group Template creation

1. To create a Group Template, go to the Templates folder and hit the Create Template button at the top right side of the folder. Alternatively, you can hit the blue +Create button at the top left > select Template > select the option to Upload, Select from Existing Documents or Migrade from DocuSign.
2. Select multiple forms you want to add to the group template and hit Next. Note that you can only add the forms you own to the group template.
3. Once you hit Next button, you will be redirected to the editing mode where you can further modify the group template.
{*note: All fields from the individual templates you've used will be reassigned once you merge them into a group template. You will need to manually reassign them to new roles.*}
4. Once you reassign the fields, you can adjust the group template by adding or removing fields, forms, or pages. If some of the signers on the group template will be the same across all group template copies, you can pre-fill their emails directly in the editing mode by clicking the Edit button at the top left side of the page, and entering the signer's email address in the
5. Once everything is ready, hit Save and Close to save progress and send group template invite later; alternatively, hit Continue to save progress and send invite right away.
6. On the Invite Page, you can review the signing order, configure the email settings for each recipient, add 2FA protection, customize reminders, and set an expiration date.
